Bio

My name is Sara Martinsen.

I am a Danish artist and material researcher based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

I work across art, design and architecture creating edition pieces from natural materials. Aside from investigating materials and their potential I advice companies on responsible solutions. Combining my strong knowledge about materials and my craft is something I appreciate very much.

I work mainly with the natural, raw and unprocessed materials making knowledge about materials and nature physical and accessible. I would like people to experience the materials up close and have a better understanding of each of their specific characteristics. The responsible solutions need to looks beautiful in order to make people fall in love with them. This is relevant when good intentions have to be transformed into responsible behavior.
